About the Role

Petra Mechatronics is hiring a practical Calibration Technician to join our technical team in Dubai. You will be responsible for testing, calibrating, and servicing weighing scales and related measurement equipment, both in our workshop and at customer sites across the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Core Tasks: Perform calibration, testing, and accuracy checks on weighing scales, load cells, and related equipment.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose basic electrical or mechanical faults and carry out minor repairs and adjustments.
  • Documentation & Fieldwork: Complete calibration records, job sheets, and service reports accurately.
  • Equipment Upkeep: Carry out routine preventive maintenance on customer equipment.
  • On-Site Fieldwork: Conduct technical service and calibration visits at customer facilities across the UAE.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in calibration, testing, technical service, or equipment maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of weighing systems, wiring, and electrical testing.
  • Soft & General Skills: Good English communication skills, basic computer skills, and willingness to perform fieldwork throughout the UAE.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Valid UAE driving license.
  • Previous experience with industrial weighing scales, load cells, weighing indicators, or calibration equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with calibration procedures or ISO/IEC 17025 is an advantage.

Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a brief practical technical assessment.
